Oblong 4°. 6 pages of introductory text + 98 collages. Published as a limited edition in 1977, An Exorcism evolved out of a film never to be. As the artist and her partner and filmmaker worked on the project in an abandoned house, the location started to influence the film. The project was never fully realized, but the numerous photographs became the material from which Slinger's haunting, surrealist collages produced this exceedingly hard-to-find tome. SIGNED and dated in the year of publication by Penny Slinger in the upper left corner of the fep. BOOK CONDITION: FIne; a solid, tight, clean copy showing light rubbing and toning to cover edges and corners; in a Very Good dust jacket showing wear along edges and corners, including a small area of loss to lower, right corner of front panel, a 2 inch l-shaped closed tear fron upper rear joint at head of spine across teh spine and into the upper left corner of the front panel, a 1 ich closed tear to upper margin of rear panel center, and large areas of scuffing along the rear panel fore edge (protected now in a new, clear, brodart cover).
